An Etymology of Some Things Public Historians Do

Curate--from Latin curare, "to take care of"
Interpret--from Latin interpretari, " to explain, expound, understand," from interpres, "agent, translator"
Mediate--from Latin mediari, "to intervene, mediate," also, "to be or divide in the middle"
